One of my all time favorite shows; even though its cancellation predates me by about two years. Anyone else likes this show?

I never really got into that one, I catch parts of it now and then but I've never managed to sit through a whole episode, though they are funny.

The show is off the hinges. I think this is the funniest episode of the series: "Lamont Goes African." The way Fred kept clowning his new name was priceless.

Sanford and Son was cool, it definitely had its moments....but I never really got into that one either. I preferred Redd Foxx on The Royal Family. If not for his untimely passing, I know that show would've been great.

I always get "irony" and "coincidence" mixed up but the day he had that heart attack on the set, everyone thought he was kidding around at first about "having the big one".

Mine too....I got all the seasons on DVD. My favorite episode is "Rated X".

The confrontation between Fred and Esther in the last clip was hi-lari-ous!

"Sanford & Son" is one of my all-time favorite comedies, and I still watch the reruns occasionally. Fred was so funny, and I loved Aunt Esther and Grady. I saw Grady on TV ("Conan O'Brien") about 6 years ago and he looked the same (I believe he's died since then).

Trivia: Sanford and Son and the Brady Bunch were timeslot rivals, airing opposite each other Friday nights on NBC and ABC. Sanford clobbered The Brandy Bunch in the ratings, which led directly to its cancellation.

The Brady Bunch was about 20 years outdated anyway.

Growing up I remember my ma saying this was her favorite TV show... I've actually never seen an episode before... I only know Redd Foxx from Harlem Nights.
