default Shows that fell off a cliff

I think most of us familiar with the term Jump the Shark, and that most shows have had a moment where they began to show they were in decline. Well, what about shows that just fell off a cliff? These are shows that didn't gradually decline, but just abruptly imploded for one reason or another.

The show that made me think of this was Sliders. You had an interested premise, and a decent set of characters, and bam, all of the sudden, you had almost the whole cast turn over, and it turns from a Quantom Leap kind of show to Dr. Who in a blender.

Any other shows you can think of?

The Unit lasted 4 seasons. The secret missions of these men & their families back home maintained a perfect balance. EXCELLENT show for the first two seasons & then CBS attempted to turn it into fucking Army Wives. If they had left it alone it would probably still be running now. But it got absurdly unrealistic with the wives (one in particular) overstepping the bounds that would have been allowed & the focus of the show became the wives. I didn't even buy the last two seasons because of it. It wasn't even the same show anymore.

I loved that show & hated when they did that.

Homicide: Life on the Street, getting rid of Kay and bringing in Falsone, Ballard and Stivers, put a gun to the show's head and pull the trigger. Actually that happened the moment that Stivers threw Kellerman to the wolves was the moment the show just dropped dead.

I loved Sliders too, but when the O'Connells left it started to go downhill.

Right now I feel like Once Upon A Time is starting to go off the cliff.

Possibly but I'm not quite ready to make that call yet.
