Is there a maximum length of which you'd prefer to keep a car?

Well, we're stuck on 7 years paying for our KIA and have had it for 2-1/2 now. Am hoping we have minimal maintenance to contend with in the duration.

A year or two after it's paid off. Before it gets too many miles on it. Maybe this summer.

Not really. Depends on what I was looking for when I bought it. Usually I'll keep it until the wheels fall off or I wanted something else.
