I'm a bit of a swinging voter on the Victor v His Children s/l

The scene when Victor came to Abby and took her in his arms, had me hooked. Father putting aside his bitterness about his children's betrayal...daughter clinging to the father she loves...tenderness...warm and fuzzy feeling...the wombat gets all misty eyed.....and then Victor opens his mouth and blew it to pieces. KABOOM!!

I know Victor is the master of pushing other people's buttons...but lately he's been pushing his own...the self destruct one.

I hate Victor, too!! He's a miserable old man who cares onyl for himself. He has no heart and no soul. Every time he opens his mouth, he spews little more than hatred and condemnation. With Victor, everything decent or soft abotu him is nothing but an act to get what he wants. I don't buy it for a minute. I think his 'softness" was nothing more than an act to get Abby back on his side so he could use her. He's incapable of love.

being a veteran, I have a soft spot for the old devil...but can't he once, just once do something nice without having an agenda?

I'm a newcomer to Y&R, so the only Victor I know is a bitter, hate-filled old geezer who only cares about himself. I used to watch GH and Edward Q could drive me crazy but I still had a soft spot for him, even when I wanted to smack him as hard as I could. He'd have his moments, or did back when I watched GH, though it's been awhile now, so things could have changed.

Victor reminds me too much of Stephano Dimera and EJ Dimera, two of the characters I hate most. It's because of them that , while I'll tune into Days every now and then, I'll never go back to watching full time.

Victor don't give a flying fig about Abby a bit more than he does the rest of his kids. He gives her what she want in order to get her to do what he want her to do. His company is the onlyh thing he cares about and loves.

Yeah - I guess I was wrong abotu Victor being incapable of love. The only thing he's capable of loving, though, is himself and his company. Sad.
