There are two movies by the same name that were really good. The first was simply "Little Girl Lost" (1987) and was based on the true story of a foster child caught up in a system that favoured her abusive father. She was removed from the home as a baby due to neglect and placed with loving foster parents. She began showing extreme resistance to visiting her natural father and would have nightmares and tantrums in the days leading up to and following a visit with him. When the foster Mom comes forward with the abuse, social services removes the child and places her back with her natural father. The story follows the family's fight to reclaim the little girl they consider their own.
Little Girl Lost: The Delimar Vera Story" is based on the true story of a women who refuses to believe that a fire claimed the life of her infant daughter. When the little girl is 6, she finds her leaving with distant relatives, who'd kidnapped her and set the fire to cover it up.
