Had one when I was a young man in Turkey. It was beige not black. It was still the standard style back then, tho all of us felt a little bit Bogart wearing it.
I used it to make forbidden love to my girl on the ground in the woods behind her house when she snuck out at night. Fond memories of my trench coat there.

I have one, a tan one. I remember as a kid we were not allowed to say trench coat for some reason, due to Columbine, we had to say OVERcoat, but I was always like 'screw that, I say TRENCH coat'.

They look good, depending on the cut. I have one, but it's not that long. It's mid-length and I wear it when I'm going out and I need to wear a coat. It will compliment a classy outfit lovely.
