Well, I've done the blind date thing only twice 'way back when', and though they were nice guys I knew there'd never been chemistry at my end. And I know I wouldn't do the internet thing if I was single.

No. I had this happen probably twice (maybe three times) and instead of going somewhere nice like we planned, I suggested just hanging out around campus and talking. Uncomfortable dialogue usually leads to fake emergency phone calls on his end; instead of bruising an ego, I let him think it was his idea lol.
