    No. Once I saw an 800 # TV commercial advertising a "free" bible. I called them and placed the order, but it never came.

    By now I have I think 2 King James versions, one New International, and one Gideon Bible. Haven't read through them all yet to see how they differ though.

    I have an old Revised Standard Version of the New Testament that I picked up in a used shop and have had for years.

    I also have the standard King James Old & New that I keep for reference.

    Other holy books are "Discourses" by Meher Baba and "Be Here Now" by Baba Ram Das (Richard Alpert)

    Yep, Keep it as a contract copy. This is the version that has the Shakespeare hidden in the 46th Psalm, when Shakespeare was 46 and working on the King James Bible - coded his name in this passage 46 words in from the beginning and 46 words in from the end (excluding Selah).

    Nobody knows who wrote it. Literally, it has no author listed and it was published in the 50's. It's a BIG book about the universe ~ origins, God, evolution, Bible, religion. But it is hard reading that requires a good attention span; therefore, I haven't gotten past the first 1/10th of the book. I shelved it until I'm officially retired and have the time.
