I enjoyed Agent Smith in the Matrix. He appeared to be so robotic and so filled with hatred for humans, yet was also complex. Another of my favorites is Darth Vader.

Your favorite movie villains.
Who are your favorite film villains? It can a supernatural horror monster like Freddy/Jason...or just a plain old bad guy character like Stab from House Party or Billy Zane's character in Titanic.

He used to scare the HELL out of me. I refused to watch that movie for a long time (although I'm not a big fan of horror movies anyway). Ironically enough, I still never developed a fear of clowns.

Perry Smith (Robert Blake) - In Cold Blood. Chris didn't say they had to be fictional.

Love it, though I never got exactly HOW he could be considered a villain.
The Kurgan from Highlander, you know Connor's going to win but it's just so much fun watching the Kurgan in his momentary reign of terror as he draws closer to becoming the ONE, he's a funny sumbitch.
Count Orlok from Nosferatu
The Joker from Batman
