Who remembers this show? What're your thoughts on it?

I say they jumped the shark when Drummond remarried and Sam came in as the replacement cute kid.

Well not me, but I did envy him his athletic ability doing those backflips.

I remember it and liked it when it used to air, but it's been off TV for so long (and the reruns are so scarce) that when I finally saw it again, I didn't like as much as I remember.

When it was on Nick at Nite I was always able to catch the earlier episodes but the later ones I always missed, so I was relieved to find some of them are available on Youtube. I love any shows with haunted houses so I was glad to find this one:

A couple of thoughts I had about this one though, 1. Philip and Maggie give the kids too much credit, and 2. I thought for sure John Astin's character would be the one haunting the house, was surprised by that one.

And one thing I've noticed, sitcoms today seem to have done away with the Very Special Episodes but I don't know that that is necessarily a good thing because back when shows did it, like this and Facts of Life in the 80s, they offered a lot of insight about what to do if somebody tries to attack you, like in this episode:

Although a gripe I had when that sergeant is talking to them, 2 things, when Arnold was attacked the guy did NOT come up behind him like in the demonstration, and 2, running is good but sometimes you do have to strike back, and they were teaching this in self defense courses several years before this episode was ever made so you'd think a cop of all people would know about that.
