    TiVo Tivo

Do you, or have you, ever subscribed to TiVo? If so, how did you like it? Offhand, do you know how it compares to DVR?

Couldn't say. We have a DVR with our cable that works fine. I've never been curious as to the difference.

Are you talking about a DVR you buy in the store you know its a CD/DVD player as well as a recorder? I have a couple of those I used to use to record programs, I could only record one program at a time and I had to watch it. With my Satelite DVR I can record 2 programs at the same time and watch another. I like it.

I have TiVo and I love it 1000 time better than the DVR from the cable company and Direct TV. It just has more options that I like personally. I own it and I have a lifetime membership.

I think Tivo hold more shows than a DVR as well.

It does and one of my favorite features is, when you delete a show, it's not really deleted. It's saved in another folder for another 30 days or so.

That shit is expensive. 4 years ago I went to Best Buy to see about picking one up as a present....little did I know those things ran about $120....plus the subscription service fee.

    DVR works just fine.

It depends on what you consider expensive. You're right DVR's work just fine if all want to do is to record. I like and use the other features on my Tivo. Different strokes.......

I like to copy movies and shows from my Tivo to my PC to edit parts I want to keep or to upload to YouTube. I can also copy movies from my PC to my Tivo to watch on my television. It also has Hulu, Netflix, Amazon movies, YouTube and Blockbuster.

Like I said, it all depends on what your usage is.

They don't even compare. TiVo cleans the floor with DVR. It's like comparing an iPod to an audio cassette. But if you're not a big television watcher, then having a TiVo is not practical.
