When you were a kid, did you have any friends your parents didn't like and/or forbade you from hanging around? If so, did you follow your parents orders, or did you continue seeing them?

No, not really. I knew which friends to bring home and which not to.

Yeah, my girl friend. She seemed alright to me but it seemed that my mom had a big problem with her, finally she told me it was because of the girl's parents. I hardly knew them but knew when the dad was home, we couldn't go in the house, even when he wasn't there we could hardly go in the house as it was...whatever they were, not people you'd necessarily WANT to meet, so my mother limited the time we spent over in her yard.

In grade school, I had a girlfriend who was my best buddy, but my mom didn't like me talking to her on the phone because she claimed that her mouth was too smart and that afterward our conversations my mouth was too smart too. We were in the same class, so my mom's wishes fell on deaf ears.

No, my parents didn't have a problem with any of my friends.

There may have been a few they didn't care much for, but these friends behavior didn't have enough of an influence on my own to warrant being forbidden to see them again.

There never was one who they told me I could not see, but a few they didn't like. Dad didn't like a lot of the boys I played basketball with and mom didn't like a friend who was a teen mom.
