With it being cap and gown season, I was just wondering what everyone most remembers about the day they graduated high school. Anything special or interesting happen (besides the ceremony itself)?

I remember feeling sad that I was not going to see certain friends anymore but happy as all hell that it was all over.

No good memories.
There was this guy at high school that I had a MAJOR crush on... like, seriously. So after the graduation ceremony, I tried to find him to possibly tell him how I feel. Well, I probably wouldn't have actually told him, but that was beside the point. I walked around and around for like 20 minutes and he was gone. It was sad. I think he's engaged now.

What I remember most is that it rained that day and that I didn't want to ride with my family, so I insisted that they leave before I did. I drove myself to graduation and parking was a headache. Afterwards I had a party at my house. Then later on that night I went to a friends party. It was pretty hectic day but fun.

It rained off and on all day. Shit was held inside a giant, dark theater downtown. My and my boys foolin in the first row. Long and corny ass eulogy by the valedictorian. Took pictures with my moms, grandma & aunts. After it was all over I hit the streets with my friends and didn't come home til 8:30 the next morning. Mom didnt like that but she let it go.

I woke that morning with a slight head cold and felt progressively worse as the day went on. Still managed to make it to graduation, though. Came home, emailed my girlfriend at the time who was two years older than me and hadn't returned home from college yet. Told her I was gonna go out. She emailed me back congratulating me, but saying that she wished I wouldn't go out, because she knew that me going out meant that playing around was a real option (and I did try that night, but nothing popped off.)
That night, the school had an all night "lock in" for graduates. Went to that and clowned with a few of my friends. Left at around 5am, and just drove around for a little while, letting it sync in that I was done with school (at least that phase.) Grabbed breakfast then returned home at around 9am and passed out. Later that day, another of my friends called me over to play deejay for his post-day graduation party.
Wow. Memories.

I knew it would be hotter than hell in the gym, and Mom had health issues, so I worried all day that the temp would get the best of her. So, my day was defined by that. My grad party was the same day, and it was pretty understated.

It was pretty cool. I rode with my family that day. My graduation was held outside, no rain. I remember them lighting up some corny ass fireworks at the end though. Oh yeah, and I almost bust my ass walking down from the stage. I had on these high ass heels and was fine all the way up until the end. My last name is towards the end of the alphabet so I guess I was pretty anxious to get the boring ceremony over with. I was walking down from off the stage when my heel got stuck. I almost took a tumble but was able to catch myself in time. They funny thing was, I heard the crowd laugh a little bit but I heard my mother the loudest when she said "That's alright baby, you still look good!". And everyone just chuckled. It was just a little humor, I laughed at myself. Took a few pictures before and after and that was it. I didn't do anything afterwards because my mother threw me a big barbecue the next day which was Saturday so everybody who I wanted to be there came to that. Oh yeah, and I had gotten a lot of loot for my graduation. My mother knows quite a few people.....she invited damn near everyone she knew and they gave me money. On top of my own family and friends. My take at then end of the day was about $1800.
