    This movie is why Fonda was wearing that hair style in the mug shot on another topic. She plays a call girl involved in a missing persons case and murder being investigated by a small town detective played by Donald Sutherland. She won the Oscar for the role. Her acceptance speech was one of the shortest ever.

    "Thank you...thank you very much members of the Academy and thank all of you who applauded. There's a great deal to say and I'm not going to say it tonight, I would just like to really thank you very much."

    She did that on her father's advice.
