Kinsey - 2004

Great biopic of Alfred Kinsey, the first serious researcher into sexual practices in the U.S., which went counter to all the bullshit ideas about sex.

Showed his own experiments with expanded sexuality before many of us got into it in the '60s & '70s. His research is probably one of the impetus of the Sexual Revolution of those decades.

Had some nice scenes of Peter Sarsgaard full frontal naked, plus one of the most passionate onscreen kisses between Sarsgaard and Liam Neeson as grad student & prof.

It would appear that Kinsey's repressed sexual childhood lead to his life long calling. Arousing and meaningful film.

My one flaw of the film is the amount of the subject matter it tries to cover.

I might add that Laura Linney (among the best of today's actresses) plays his faithful wife.

I haven't seen this movie, but am interested in it. Kinsey was a fascinating character study.
