Do you think that children who are the product of extra-marital affairs should be immediately welcomed into the family? To dig a little more personal, do you have any relatives who came from affairs; and if so, how does your family generally treat/embrace them?

Maybe and yeah, I do. My dad's uncle has a daughter from a woman he was cheating with. It was funny how he's be all cuddled up with her during the family reunions during Christmas, but go back to his wife in NY. Him and his wife are still together and she didn't find out about the baby until the woman sued him for child support. But we all knew. We don't have much interaction with that kid. The mother keeps her away for the most part.

I think everyone should embrace their child, no matter how fucked up the circumstances of their conception were. THAT being said....I don't think additional family members, the wife in particular, are under any obligation to welcome the bastard into the family....as far as they're concerned.
