Probably James Spader. Used to think he was hot back around the time of "Jack's Back" "Less Than Zero" & even "White Palace". These days, not so much.

He is becoming gumpy with age. When he was on Boston Legal, he didn't have that same sleek vibe about him that he did in this previous movie work.

No--age has nothing to do with it. Mel would still be hot if he weren't a loser, as would Jan Michael Vincent, who went down the same loser path that Mel did. There are plenty of older guys I find hot, from Steve Perry, to Roger Waters and Sean Connery.

I know what you are saying about Mel. While he has aged and has lost the cuteness of youth, his racist, more-catholic-than-the-pope crap has come out, which makes him an old loser. Entertainment Weekly this issue dedicated a page to just Mel and how he has lost appeal.

I think you're being a little paranoid about it. And even if age IS the reason some of these people aren't hot anymore, that's on them. It's not making a statement on EVERYBODY who ages...

And maybe we should start a thread for just the opposite--not hot to hot: Geeks who turned out to be hotties, and people who turned into hotties as they aged in general.

It isn't age at all. With Spader, as Marc put it he took on a grumpy...almost frumpy vibe. He used to be super cool. But he became soft & pasty. It's not age. Not at all. Just that the older he got the more he lost that vibe. Doesn't happen to everyone. Nick Cassavetes is just as damn hot now as he was years ago.
