I didn't ask this in the Film Chamber, because I'm more interested in what you think of the character itself -- as opposed to the films. Are you (or were you) a fan?

I actually had a thought about this the other day. I've always asked WHY, since he was originally a child murderer, as in little kids, in the movies his attention is drawn solely to teenagers, why? This is his only saving grace popularity wise I think, if the movies had him still killing little children, he would not be as popular because there is a big taboo in movies about killing kids, especially if it's shown instead of just implied, but teenagers are fair game.

He was killed by the parents of the teenagers a decade before hand---- when the teenagers were kids. He was now killing the teens as revenge.
Back to topic: He terrified me as a kid, but humored me as a teen.
Thought it was funny that the parents killed him though. I would have been safe, cause my mom couldnt have found him with GPS, a flashlight and a map

Yeah but why stop there? Why not kill the parents after killing the kids? After all he did kill Nancy's mom but he never went after any of the other parents. And besides, could death take away whatever urge he had to torture and kill small children?

Now that I look back on it, the character itself was kinda funny. "Where's the fucking Bourbon?!" But...he scared the shit out of me when I was a kid and is the one of the reasons I don't do horror flicks, so.....fuck 'im.
