| This movie was great. One of John Candy's more serious roles; meanwhile his characters crotchety and critical old mother (played by Maureen O'Hara) was hysterical. Definitely a good, lighthearted weekend film to watch. | |

| It's been a long time since I've seen it. Didn't his mother finally get off his back about his relationship because she finally got into a relationship herself? | |

| It's been a minute since I've seen this movie, but yeah I believe that's what happened. An older gentleman came into her life and from there she became a little more enlightened and accepting of her sons fiancee. | |
