It's a masterpiece and has held up exceptionally well with time. Matthew Modine gives a great performance but the limelight is stolen by the cameos and short-lived but memorable characters played by the other actors. Really excellent cast.

Sorry, no T. I don't go in for that genre. If you ever see Apocalypse Now, he has an uncredited role as a helicopter pilot during the raid. He's the pilot who goes after the VC woman who just blew up the medivac helicopter.
