Tailgating.

When people refuse to get out of your way, do you go around, or do you tailgate them to make your point? How do you react to tailgaters; do they make you speed up, or change lanes? Or do you slow down to piss them off?

Depending on what I'm driving I might just hit my brakes. Slow down is an option too.

Depends on what I'm driving. If I'm in my company vehicle, I'll be a defensive driver. In my pull-a-part special, I'm a brake pumper on tailgaters

if they dont speed up i change lanes and pass them, if legal. When people tailgate me I often slow down to piss them off, slam on my brakes cause an "animal" ran in front of me, or pull on the shoulder to let them pass. I once pissed off a guy who was so close to me that i could see the sweat on his chest. i slammed my brakes and he had something on his seat that went flying. he blamed me, but it was his fault. called me every name in the book, but still his fault---jerk.

I don't play that game. If somebody is driving too slow, then I will belligerently honk my horn and then pass them with an attitude. If I get tailgated I won't slow down, but I will not speed up to get them off my butt. They better pass me like they got some sense.

I stay to the right to begin with and if it's a one lane road and my going the speed limit or 5 MPH over isn't fast enough for the person behind me? Pass me. If they're right on my ass, I'll just take my foot of the gas. I'll pass someone going slower than me but what does piss me off is when I try to do so and then they speed up.

I won't tail gate - I"ll pass if I can and if not, I keep my distance until I can safely pass.

If someone is really tailgating me, I'll make sure I'm going EXACTLY the speed limit. What I love is watching agressive drivers trying to zig-zag through traffic, only to have all the cars they tried to pass end up at the same light as the, and they're only a couple of cars ahead, or sometimes they get boxed in by two drivers going the same speed. My commute includes a highway and I don't know how many times I've sene people zipping by 20-25 kilometers over the speed limit only to get caught behind two crs going 2-10 kms over the speed limit and the speeder isn't able to pass.

I change lanes. Tailgaters get on my nerves.
