When something you own becomes warn out, or outdated, are you more likely to refurbish or replace it?

Depends. If it's furniture or china, I'll probably replace. My truck, I'll drive it til it falls apart, rebuild it then do it all over again

Depends. Most of the time, it'll be a money issue that decides what I'll do.

Since the cost to repair things now rivals the cost to buy something new, I'm probably just going to replace whatever it was that broke. There are exceptions.

Depends on what it is and what the cost is. Sometimes it's cheaper to just buy a new one, like when it coms to DVRs.

buy new. I had bought a brand new cell, then I started dropping calls. Verizon insisted that it was a bad phone, even though their stores kept telling me that it was the service. They took my NEW phone and sent a refurbished one. It lasted a week then the screen turned white and nothing worked.

    Will always buy new

A friend of mine had a similar problem with them, that is they tried to give him a refurbished phone. Apparently that's their "policy" but he raised a (polite) stink so they gave him a new phone just that one time. Gee, thanks a bunch.
