I didn't have 'homework', but my mom always was there to explain whatever I didn't get, which was usually mathematically related...my dad tried a couple of times and that was a mistake because he knew it but he couldn't explain it and he would explode if you didn't get it right.

My ma's usual response was, "You know how long its been since I've done that". Esp when it came to math. So I usually went to my eldest sister.
