I was at the grocery store tonight and there was a woman with her I guess 2 year old son, and he had gotten loose from her and was running all over the store and she couldn't catch him...so I stepped beside the aisle he was coming down and caught him for her and kept a hold of him until she could come and get him. And she told him 'see, when you don't behave you get into trouble'. But with out society being so paranoid and uptight about unrelated adults having any kind of contact with kids...my brother said he would never have done it, because we do tend to look at men as more likely of being pedophiles than women, and even my mother said she wouldn't have done it because of that risk. But I wasn't thinking about any of that at the time because I was just trying to stop him so his mother could get him because as we all know, nobody can run as fast as a 2 year old.
I really think it's a shame we've come to that kind of paranoia, on top of everybody being sue happy that if you touch them at all they can say assault, but if you were in my position would you have grabbed him or let the game of supermarket tag continue?
