How old would you say someone needs to be before it can be argued that they died of old age?

120 Blue Cool

Old age is rarely a cause of death. Old age is when body systems weaken and fail and one or more of those failed systems result in death. In men before age 80 and women in around 80 to 90.

I was just at the home visiting my mother today and they were all out in a singing event. I looked around at all the white haired ppl and noticed 30 women and 3 men.

Guys, we will likely not end up in a nursing home in old age. blank stare @ you

Old age? I think 105 might be a good place to start considering it. Interestingly though, I read that nobody HAS died of old age since 1952 because that's when they stopped listing that as the cause of death on the certificates.

My great aunt died at age 77 and it was dismissed as old age, so late 70s to 80s i guess.
