If you were offered money that had been earned through human misery, suffering, or that had been stolen years/decades ago, what you accept it?

Agree with cheaps. Long as I'm not putting myself in any danger or liability by keeping it, then I would. If I don't take it someone else will.

We all spend and use 'dirty' money in some form or another. Im assuming you mean directly. It would depend. If I wasn't hard up and it wasn't worth it....prob. not.

Well if I'm gonna answer truthfully...I don't know. I got bills. It would depend on the situation but I can't honestly say I wouldn't.

I agree. A farmer has a bad season and gets his family farm foreclosed on. I then borrow money from the same bank... that is dirty money isn't it? if the farm was in the family for generations and the guy is just trying to feed his family? and somehow DB Cooper's money who may have been stealing the money to pay for a loved one's surgery finds its way to my wallet.... yeah... guess what, i'm paying my bills!

Re: Would you keep dirty money?
if that money was stolen decades ago... from a bank or organization, it was insured. and therefore i would not feel bad spending it.
if i found it was taken from an individual, then i would probably feel differently and feel guilty, especially if that person needs it much more than me. then i would probably give it back. but to a bank... forget it FDIC baby

I wouldn't take somebody's hard earned cash that was stolen, but if it's just a case of the money itself being made off the back of treacherous labor conditions, then that's too bad but yeah I'll take it.

Re: Would you keep dirty money?
I figure shhhhhhhiiiiiiittttttt... bank of america has gotten soooo much from me in interest fees over the years that i could buy a car with that dough, so if i "found" it and did not return it, it would be ok.
I did find a wallet with $500 in it once and returned it. The guy gave me $50 as a reward when i wasnt expecting anything. That was back when $50 was like $100 hahaahaa
