    I believe out of body experience is an illusion that every human brain is capable of, as well as sensing a "presence" around them.
    So, it's real for the person experiencing it but doesn't actually exist outside of that person's mind.

    I feel similar. I can't help but think that every unexplainable, or supernatural, occurrence that happens is attributed to some kind of...as you say...'presence.'

    I don't see how it could exist only in somebody's mind (by the way, looong time for this thread), because I know I didn't imagine my bed rolling across the room with me in it 8 years ago. And, going by the records that Leslie Rule has put in her books, a 1991 dime was not imagined in the year 1990 when it was found and varified as being legal tender; nor the college student who lived alone and came home every day to find his dishes done and the cat put out.

    A better question and one with which I will challenge all those who simply put 'NO' is do you believe ppl have a soul?

    Now, what is that soul? Why would you believe in that Christian/Jewish/Muslim supported soul and not believe that a soul gone astray could not be near us as a ghost?
