Have you ever scared someone?

As a kid I liked trying to scare people, I especially wanted to get the drop on my brother for something. We used to watch that Nickelodeon show Hey Dude and there was one where everybody in it was trying to scare each other, so I took an idea from that. I got my mom's darkest nail polish, a kind of sparkling brown, I had hoped for black, and hid behind my brother's bed and planned to reach up and grab him when he was trying to sleep...but my plans for that didn't work so I settled for hiding behind his bed after dinner, and when he came into the room I jumped up and screamed and he about had a heart attack. Ooooh that was good, because he was always jumping out from behind a door or the corner and "BOO!" right in my face and that was the only time I was able to get him back.

We all played the scaring games as kids.

Yeah, I scared the crap out of one of my roommates.

Sure did. I scared my great grandmother once. No, wait...wrong thread. I pranked called her. That shit was hilarious.

The funniest scare I ever did was years ago when my son's dad and I took our son to a lake near my parents' house. We were driving home on a country road and there was a rather large snake in the road. We hadn't owned our video camera for very long at that time and it was still a novelty to us. So he pulled the car over and decided to walk near the snake and zoom into it. I beeped the car horn and it freaked him out! The video is so freaking hilarious. He says nothing as he is zooming in so the video is silent. I beep the horn and he says, "Shit fuck shit." I am laughing as I type this. It is just too funny.

One night I had woken up and had to pee and he was in the bathroom next to my bedroom with the door open. He wasn't "doing" anything (I think he was standing in front of the mirror?). My brother and he had been watching some slasher movie when I had gone to bed so I guess he was primed when I walked into the bathroom like a zombie. The look of terror on his face. I remember another time when our kids were about 8 maybe? We were friends with two other couples with a son and daughter and a bunch of us were over at one of their houses some Saturday night. The kids were downstairs watching TV and someone had the bright idea to hide from the kids. Everyone thought it was kind of funny until the kids started crying LOL.

When I was a kid, and heard my mom coming, I would regularly hide and jump out at her as she rounded the corner. I still remember her saying in a startled voice, 'your mom is old, don't do that.'

I remember hearing that one of the Supremes when she was pregnant, around Halloween, her husband jumped out from behind and scared her, and her water broke.
