We have underground lava caves near where I live.. I took a couple of my nephews one time, it was pretty cold and dark... NOTHING like the pics you posted above, we needed flashlights to get through, and there were times when we did have to crawl cuz it got so little.

Beautiful. Wonder if I could handle that one? My claustrophobia wouldn't permit me to the tight narrow caves.

I have had a chance to visit a few caverns. I love to visit those places. I have been in the Virginia area cavern. I just can't remember the names. The only ones I remember the name is in Carlsbad NM. To me they are the best ones. They are so big and have such variety of formations. There is one I do remember I believe it was in Virginia or maybe Kentucky but it has a water fall, that was neat!

I went to Howe (sp?) Canyons when I was a little kid, they are upstate NY. I don't recall much about them though.

The other pic is from Luray Caverns in Luray, VA. It's been awhile since I've been to either but I remember it as being really neato.

Thanks Uncle, I was so young that I vaguely remember what they looked like. All I can remember is the feeling of being overwhelmed.
