| I've never used it in cooking. Kinda complicated as a leavening - baking powder is more convenient.
However, I use it to brush my teeth, clean the sink and bathtub (with a little dish detergent) and have used it to freshen yucky carpets. | |

| For cooking, definitely, for getting the odor of spicy foods out of the pans, in the laundry, for bug bites, for cleaning my shoes, lot of stuff. | |

| As far as cooking with it, only if a recipe calls for it and that's usually only when baking. We do use it a lot to clean with and keep a box in the frig. | |

| Usually the baking soda that you use to bake or cook with isn't the same as the one in the picture. There is actually baking soda specifically for food. | |
