I tried seeing it once but I couldn't get into it and this is my favorite ghost story of all times. But, the way it was explained to me, with the ending of *spoiler* Ichabod becomes the new headless horseman, right?, and so it will continue on and on and on, it really loses something with a translation like that.
Good movie. Horror with bits of humor salted in. It's said that Christopher Walken (a trained dancer) always likes to throw a little dance step into each performance but I never caught it here. If you've ever seen the Frank Sinatra/Gene Kelly musical, "On the Town", you may have caught the connection at the very end when Icabod tells the kid, "The Bronx is up and the Battery's down."

There was a movie on 2 weeks ago about sleepy hollow and the headless horseman. According to this movie it has Ichabod going off somewhere and having a family and some generations later, his descendants are in Sleepy Hollow and the headless horseman returns.
