Premonitions

Have you ever had a feeling that something was going to happen but you just didn't know what? The feeling gnaws at you for hours and you just can't seem to get it out of your mind.

Several hours or days later you hear about a nasty accident or event, or something negative concerning your family or friend, or someone you know. Has that ever happened to you?

Nothing like that but more than once I've thought of a song and very soon after it comes on the radio or I'll think of a particular episode of a TV show and very soon after it airs. I've never had lottery numbers pop into my head.

I often think of TV shows that come on later in that day or the next day, and I also have a few of those, knowing what's going to happen but not knowing when, but they're usually very vague.

Don't talk about it much but.....yeah lol. It's been known to happen. Sometimes I have vivid dreams about things that end up actually happening. I've also gotten feelings about things a few times. Once an overwhelming urge to get out of the house. It was like the walls were closing in so I left. When I got over to someone's house they asked who was at mine. They had called & someone was answering my phone. Turned out to be the crazy ex who had broken into my house with...not very good intentions apparently. Things like that. But I also believe in coincidence so, really who knows?

But like Alan said, if those damn lottery numbers would just pop in my head lol

I'm not sure I get premonitions about what's *going to* happen, but sometimes I get these eerie Déjà vu vibes. I'll be in a certain place or scenario and feel like I had been in that exact moment before in another time – despite having no conscious memory of it.

^This, I have Deja vu almost every damn day, and I don't even know what sets it off, I'll be somewhere and it hits me like I've been there before at one time in particular but no idea why.

Yes! Two years before Mt. St. Helens blew off (I had just moved to Oregon) I had this very strong feeling that it was going to happen soon. People poo-poo'd it and said it was inactive and impossible. I admit, I enjoyed rubbing noses with that one.

But I've had numerous "premonitions", a few which likely saved my life or prevented serious injury.

I've never experienced Déjà vu but I have had Vujà dé. That's the uncanny feeling you get when you're sure that what's happening has never happened to you before.
