Such a genius idea...

When I was at the bowling alley today, my friend and I also decided to check out the arcade games and we saw a new one that the idea makes so much sense and it's so simple, I can't help but wonder why nobody ever came up with this one a long time ago: A claw machine full of candy! No plushie toys or cheapo watches or trading cards, a claw machine full of peanut butter cups, Dumdum pops, KitKats, Whoppers, Almond Joys, Sweetarts, Bottlecaps, Nerds, Laffy Taffy, etc. Only a quarter a play and the claw, which is not the traditional three pronged machine claw but like like a pair of locking jaws claw, can get several pieces at once depending on how they're positioned. Now there's one I'll spend my quarters on to try. Has anybody else seen something like this?

The CiCi's Pizza here used to have one. It had an annoying audio thing "Heeeheee plaaaay until you winnnnn!!!!!" So the kids at least always got something but you had to try to tune that out lol Cute idea though.

My wife is really good at claw machines. She said she never played for candy but she has seen them.

The arcade at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk has had one for many decades. All penny candy, and I'm sure I played it as a kid when we vacationed there.

But they are pretty rare ~ need more of 'em.

I don't think I've never seen a claw vending machine, but I don't know how keen I'd be on using one; if only because when it comes to food and snacks, I want what I want. I'm not trying to play game with it.

I never saw one with candy but I did see one with Jewelry.

Those things are old news. They have the claw machine for pretty much everything: candy, stuffed animals, coins, stickers, etc. They're all over the place.
