I would try it. When I visited NYC I noticed "pickles" to be a big treat there ~ barrels of pickles at outdoor markets. Didn't try any of them when I had the chance, though.

I have had them Applebees in California used to have them on the appetizer menu but alas, they have disappeared. NY Applebees never had them
