Do you like cranberry sauce?

I don't. Call me weird, I love cranberry juice, but can't stand cranberry sauce. I never touch the stuff when Thanksgiving comes around.

Only the one I make myself. Can't do that toxic waste in a can.

Yuck, no! My mother does though.

It can be really good or really bad.

It's not really hard to do. It can be a little bit of a pain but it tastes nothing like that crap in a can. You start with 1 cup of water & 1 cup of sugar to every bag of cranberries. You're probably going to need more sugar, depending on the berries. When you get the sweetness the way you like it you cook it to a jelly type consistency. Drop a small amount onto a teaspoon. When it's not runny & moves in one piece, it's ready. I strain mine through a colander to keep the cranberry peels out.


ETA: it can spatter like spaghetti sauce. so you want to be aware of that because...ouch lol

I love cranberry sauce but not the kind you have pictured, that is whole cranberries, I like the jellied cranberry sauce.

Love it. But I prefer the sauce consistency (as in the photo) over the jellied.

Just the can, never had it like in the picture.

The picture one is too lumpy for me.

Never had success leaving any of the berries whole like that. They're really hard to sweeten enough that way. Cranberries are extremely bitter. But yeah, the picture looks like something from the opening of Dexter.
