Wow! Apparently, Butch Cassidy did not die as many of though in 1908 Bolivia. For the next 20 years he tries to quietly live out his life on a ranch, under the assumed name Blackthorn (Sam Shepard). That's James Blackthorn.
Unfortunately, the serene life is given away to memories of longing for the US and his son. There are flashbacks of his days with the Sundance Kid. And one of the best scenes is his reunion with lawman (Stephen Rea) who never felt he was dead.
An old-fashion beautiful depiction of the West. It's not the tale or even the action, but the Bolivian landscape and Sam Shepard's, why you should see this film.
Watch it at the theater, not on Pay-Perview, otherwise you will miss the awesome cinematography and country.
