Superglue for split skin?

For a long time we've heard how now when doctors operate, they close people up with superglue, so we started wondering why not try that on split skin too?

I've had a split in my heel for I guess about a year, I tried every lotion, tried bandaging it, tried filing it, tried a pumice stone, it would get the dry skin around it off but nothing could close up the split. So the other day my genius brother suggested superglue and put it on, day and a half later I pull the glue off, and the split is gone. Now I'm trying the same thing on my thumb that's been split open since last winter, hopefully in a day or two it'll have the same effect.

Has anybody else tried this?

I always thought glue on the skin was a no-no.

I thought so too, which is why I thought it was crazy that surgeons use that to close up patients' chests and stuff. But it worked on my foot, I'm waiting to see if it'll do the same for my thumb next.

First time I am ever hearing of this.

they sell something called NuSkin which is supposed to seal it like a bandage. wonder if that would work

I would definitely try that first. Super Glue just feels too weird on your skin.

Stings like a motherfucker! I could have just used a band aid. I heal up pretty quick. Apparently Supernova doesn't heel up too well.

I'll stick to band-aids.
