Fruit. I can remember those earthy types who when you would go to their house, they'd throw apples and pears into your bag.

Most of the stuff we got was good, I really don't recall anything bad; we got candy, one year one lady gave out whistles and tops in a separate bowl, a neighbor lady made popcorn balls and gave us toy necklaces, and one year someone else gave us pumpkin cookies.

Can't recall a thing. When I was small the treats were full-sized candy bars, popcorn balls, lot'sa tasty stuff.
One year someone threw in a big pinwheel marshmallow cookie (the packaged kind but they were bigger then) without wrapping it, and I suppose that was kinda' nasty. But I relished that cookie.

Yes. Fruits 'n' nuts are things that should be part of the daily diet; they are NOT special treats for Halloween.

Haven't received any 'bad' treats. I remember I got bran muffins once, but I like bran muffins.

Now what I want to know, WHO had the bright idea of handing out raisins at Halloween? I can understand apples, apples are a big part of Halloween, but raisins? What the hell?
