We've had threads about child models, and the stage parents who instigate their careers, but let's say your young child (under thirteen) wanted to get into modeling themselves. This wasn't your idea, so no coaching or prodding from your end. This dream was solely your child's, who is regularly complimented on their looks, and furthermore became aware of a legitimate modeling opportunity that was child-appropriate (no skimpy, sleazy outfits, or bathing suits.)

Would you allow them to pursue it?

Yeah, I prob would. I would just make sure her/his head was on straight.

Probably not as a career. For one thing, I wouldn't want to commit to the hassles that that it would put me through. And I wouldn't want it to change a normal childhood.

Yeah, sure. If my kid were offered the chance to be in a JC Penny ad, I wouldn't say no.

Yes but I would be with them every step of the way.
