What were the demographics of your HS? Mine was approx about 25% "black", 10-15% "other" and 60-65% "white".

I don't know the exact breakdown, but by the time I graduated, I would guess that it was probably 55% White, 40% Black and 5% Other.

Not very. It was mostly black.

My HS was mostly white (Ontario overall is mostly white).

Very small and all white. And my son will never attend such a small minded school.

in a school of about 1000 kids, there were about 35 blacks, two indian families, and a few hispanics.

I grew up in an interesting area where demographics is concerned.

These figures could be way off, but I'd guess about 20% Mexicans (all were Mexicans then), perhaps another 20% black Americans, and the rest white. Very, very few Asians, and there was one brother-and-sister from India. Our town housed the black population of the immediate valley region.

But the whites were a mixed bag, too. There were the poorer white kids mostly from "Okie" migrant backgrounds, European immigrants and Europeans whose families were long established (mostly in farming), and the rich snots, many of which were also from farming.

We had a nice diverse crowd.
