How up to date are you on your family tree? Are you aware of every marriage or birth?

For the most part, I will know who got married and who is giving birth, but I definitely don't go out of my way to keep up. Usually I'll hear about a few weeks or months later.

Nope. I have cousins who have disappeared off the face of the earth, and others in the Azores, Mass and Canada that I don't care about. I'm more interested in my descendents but don't have much info on them. Have considered hiring a geneologist to do the detective work. My husband's sister could do it.

I can trace one of my roots to 18th Century Europe and most of the other roots to Great-Great Grandparents. As far as the branches, I have all my aunts, uncles, great aunts & uncles (all dead now).

I know all my first cousins and many of my second cousins. I know my nephew and nieces but only know a couple of grand-nephews and nieces.
