Notwithstanding an adult having a sexual relationship with a minor, and the laws that dictate the guidelines there, do you think that a twelve or thirteen year old should be legally able to consent to sex with someone their own age?

It shouldn't be legally endorsed, but what are you gonna do....prosecute 2 fourteen year olds for having sex? That's something for parents to handle, not the law....

I agree with NY they do it anyway but it should not be legal. How many of us here had not had some sort of sexual experience before or at 13 with someone our own age.
