When you were a teenager, did you ever stay out all night (either unbeknownst to your parents, or to their chagrin?)

Nope.

I could never have gotten away with it because my mother slept in the living room so she could work early in the morning without waking everyone else up, and neither door opens quietly.

Nope. I lived in the country. The animals would have raised a ruckus and my brother and his wife, who lived next door (and slept lightly) would have heard me. Now I could have gone through the back side of the farm, but not being able to see through the pastures was not a temptation. Would not have wanted to wade in and out of cows and thier "pies", and cars with their lights on would have likely encouraged a call from a neighbor.

Never all night but there were times when I would only beat the sun by an hour or 2.

No I never did that to them, my Mama is the one that would have worried about me and I would not have put her through that.
