What are you favorite sounds? Not music. It could be thunder, rainfall, a child's laughter . . . need not be "natural" sounds, just those that bring you comfort.

Hmmm. Maybe I need to jump-start this a bit.
The ocean. I guess that's why the beach relaxes me so much.
Birds chirping. Even enjoying listening to seagulls (that beach thing again).
Old train whistles. Occasionally an old train will operate locally for a short while, and at night I can hear it.
The sounds of traffic along the highway on the farm where I grew up. Still find it soothing whenever I go visit.
Kids laughing in a park.

I love the klantety-klang of the San Francisco cable cars. It's one of the things I miss most about going there.
