| Pests would include such things as bugs, insects, rodents, termites, etc. Was the problem ever eliminated or could you only "control" it? | |

| Spiders in recent years. I'm not spider phobic like most people but occasionally I have to fog the house.
In '83 I lived in a 6-plex, and this mentally disturbed woman below us festered cockroaches that spread into all the other units. It was awful. After fumigation we moved, and she was eventually evicted by the sheriff.

| A few years ago I had a problem with termites, but it was eventually resolved over a three to six month period; I still my house sprayed every year. | |

| We have a monthly roach sprayer come into our units and there is seldom those little European roaches around. They can be a big problem here in the subtropics if not aggressively controlled.
Unfortunately, the occasional palmetto bug (American roach) that gets into the apartment is doomed. I think it is a bacterial agent they use and once inside they are infected. Dead bug walking as they say.
Normally, for palmetto bugs I just catch them in my hand and throw them back outside where they belong.
I used to live in an apartment that had a gecko in it. Not really a pest unless you think of it as one. I am used to living with them and they are kinda cute making their rounds of the apartment.
Down here for termites we tent the house or apartment complex and pump poison gas into it. Kills bugs, plants and the occasional burglar.

| We have had an ant problem before. The worst thing I went through was one summer where the flies were absolutely awful. I think it was due to our guinea pig. That was the first and only summer she lived in this house and the first and only summer we had issues with flies. We did keep her cage clean, but it had to be due to her existence. | |

| Only when the weather changes. So far I've fought with a huge centipede and two spiders that were equally huge. I'm sure they were imported, they didn't look too American. | |
