Has anybody seen this movie that rumors say Frank Sinatra had pulled out of circulation immediately following JFK's assassination? (Incidentally the same thing was also said of Sinatra's 1954 movie Suddenly, but both cases turn out to be just myths). I just saw it for the first time and I LOVED it, first go around it's confusing as hell but a very good movie, though I don't plan to see the remake.

No, but is the one with Denzel Washington a remake of this one?

Can't remember seeing the original, but I did like the remake with Denzel. I may rent this one sometime.

I saw this one in theater when it came out and it was disturbing. IDK if the premise is legit, that 'brainwashing' is so post-hypnotically triggered, but at the time (and being quite young) we fell for it and got scared.

I never got how the whole hypnosis brainwashing and 'dry cleaning' was supposed to have worked, I'm hoping the book explains it better.
