Some people consider this to be a Christmas classic, my mother thought it was good, I thought it was depressing and was glad when we got rid of the tape. Anybody else see this one?

Saw it at the theater when it came out and I was disappointed. We all found it a bit too depressing. And I expected something "more", not sure what.

Yeah like at the end, it would've been rewarding for all the trouble this poor girl goes through, like if they actually got to see Prancer fly or maybe see him rejoin Santa's sleigh.

As much as I love Sam Elliot, this didn't work for me.

My dad took my brothers and me to see it the day after Thanksgiving the year it came out. I remember liking it a lot, I even had the hardcover picture book.
