I visited my aunt over the weekend and she kept trying to push candied fruit on me. I can't stand it. Feel like my teeth need to be brushed twice after eating that mess.

The stuff that goes in fruitcake? I use it for that purpose only, well, except the red and green candied cherries, I put them in Rice Krispies treats for Christmas too.

Yes it often used for fruitcake, but it can be served as a standalone snack too.

I only like candied cherries. Oh, and candied orange and lemon rinds! Haven't had those in a long time. Very tart and sweet and good.

I totally agree with you about feeling like you need to brush your teeth after eating those super sweet concoctions. I don't enjoy them.

I think I only barely heard of them, but no I can't recall ever trying any.
