Do you make/eat these things? I'm going to try making them again this year but I'm a bit leery after hearing one woman talk about how when she made a batch, the electric mixer broke and the cookies were indestructible.

I've actually never had ginger bread cookies.

I'd always wondered WHY they were called gingerbread, and after reading some of the recipes I think I know why: Because nobody is going to pay good money to buy and eat Molasses Men.

Too hard and sugary. I really don't like any kind of cookie that a) ain't chewy and b) doesn't have chocolate chips.
