I think the multicolored ones look more 'Christmas-y'.

I like and appreciate them both. For my tree I vary them year by year. This year they're blue and white.

Multi-colored are generally better, but a display of white lights can look good in the right setup.

Just plain clear lights looks tacky on trees, color works best but the two also look good together.

Colored is better on the tree, but around windows, rails, bushes and the rest white light works.

I agree with that. On a tree, multicolored lights is preferred, elsewhere I tend to prefer a solid color.

I agree with this. I LOVE my multi-colored lights on the tree (not getting my way this year.... ), but white lights look good elsewhere. Sums it up.Marc wrote:Colored is better on the tree, but around windows, rails, bushes and the rest white light works.

I love multi colored on my tree, it looks so much better that way, but white around the house.

I prefer an assortment of colors, but a friend of mine has his tree and window decorated in all white lights and it looks good. White lights can be gorgeous in the right setting and backdrop.

I like the multi-color. Solid white is boring.
